I don’t think it has anything to do with homophobia. I loathe Chris Crocker the same way I have disdain for Paris Hilton, George Bush, and Rosie O’Donnell. It has very little to do with his masculinity or lack thereof. I can’t stand the dude because he’s coming off more like a stupid fucking idiot media whore.

If this kid was on Youtube crying about Fred Phelps, ENDA, or PFLAG I wouldn’t give a fuck what he acted like.

Oh I get the point. Clearly no one on here gives a fuck about Britney Spears, including me, but the negative comments on here about this guy, attack his queeniness or effeminacy, his gayness. I’m sorry but thats homophobic whether the comment come from other queers or not.
The whole point of Gay Liberation and Punk for that matter was the freedom to be be yourself and to be proud of who you are. Trying to win middle america over by presenting a “G” rated, we’re-just-like-you image and denouncing other Queers who you’re afraid arn’t aceptable is a suckers game.

You don’t seem to get the point. It’s not the right wing freaks we should care about. It’s middle America. It’s the people who are ambivalent about GLBT issues and stereotypes.

While you’re spinning your wheels trying to fight christian conservatives, and the right wing, the gay community is working on spreading the message to people who we CAN change. We can show them the actual representation/ cross section of the gay community.

Okay — First off, I’m queer and I be like I be. Anyone who thinks that’s “straight-acting”, that’s your label, not mine. Keep it for yourself.

Second off — screamy-queenies give the right-wing-nuts proof that queers are freaks. Yeah, there’re guys like that, naturally. But that ain’t me. I like men, not fake girls.

In hindsight I now just feel sorry for this sad sack. He’s the laughing stock of the media. He thinks he’s popular and a celebrity but really the only thing he is is a caricature of himself and the gay community.

He doesn’t seem to have a clue that his media exploits on Jimmy Kimmel, CNN, and quite possibly his new reality show are setting him up for the ridicule that provides comic relief and ratings for the heterosexual community.
