Youth of Togay Needs Your Help!!!

Friends, this morning Revelation Buyer Adam Lentz was contacted by Carl at Bridge 9 records.

B9 is pressuring Rev to pull YOTG’s record off of the website.

As I have personally contacted Adam myself, and we could use some support for our fans.
Please send a POSITIVE email asking Rev to keep carrying YOTG’s record!!!!!

Adam (Buyer):
AdamL@revhq.com

We need your support and we are hoping that our fans and supporters may be able to sway them to keep selling our records.

AGAIN!!!! PLEASE BE POLITE!!!!! We are not trying to piss them off…..we just want to show some support!!!!

Thanks.

The YOTG/FNS Team.

having a long standing relationship with bridge 9 here id have to say i agree with them. i have helped with a number of their early releases and continue to help chris and carl with the label, because they do a great job running a punk rock label. As for parody and free use theres a fine line there. and i myself have and am still dealing with people stealing my artwork so thats a tough subject. more importantly even as a parody its just sad, gayrilla biscuits, youth of togay… i mean come on, show a little wit. the gaychinist? thats just crap. anyone can take a song title and add dong, lube, cock gay or fag… its just unoriginal and boring garbage, i mean early blink 182 song titles have more fart jokes humor and creativity than gaychinist…. be original

Everyone is entitled to their opinion. Not liking something is a right we all have to express anyway we like. I think alot of music and culture is “garbage”. But releasing music or art which other may deem as “garbage” or “crap” is also a right.

And there is a distinct difference between not liking something, and actively seeking to attack or remove it.

Bridge 9 has expressed on numerous occasions that they do not like our artwork or our parody of HH. That was very clear from the get go. And I respect that. I have never said negative things about B9 or their employees in regards to this matter.

In fact in my first, and only conversation with Pat Flynn I tried repeatedly to find some middle ground that would, at the least, semi-satisfy them. And in my first email to Adam I also suggested that we would provide a different title and different artwork for the record to be sold through Rev to help ease B9’s dissatisfaction with the release.

We at FNS and YOTG have done everything we could, beyond an artists responsibilities to compromise, to stay positive and respectful of other peoples view of our records and to attempt to make some concessions.

Unfortunately B9 has done everything in their power to not only prevent the sale of this record, but also vilify me personally, the label and the band. Going so far as to question and deny my own personal sexual choices. My attempts at professionalism and compromise have been returned with petty, unprofessional behaviors, attitudes and vindictiveness.

The way I see it is that B9 and YOTG can live in the same world without conflict should B9 choose to do so. My band and I have something to say and we will say it. Should Rev or any other distributor, decide not to carry the record…so be it.

We respect their decisions but hope that our rights as artists, no matter how controversial, are respected and apreciated.
